The Living Wage campaign was launched in 2001 by parents in East London, who were frustrated that working two minimum wage jobs left no time for family life. The Living Wage affords people the opportunity to provide for themselves and their families.
We were the first refractory company in the UK to become living wage accredited. It was driven by wanting to raise awareness & wanting to pay a fair wage for a fair days work.
This led to us being awarded the living wage champions award for the Yorkshire & Humber region in 2015.
The First Women Programme was created by Real Business in 2005 and brings together outstanding women from all sectors. The programme has created an enthusiastic and dedicated network of pioneering women working in business and industry.
The Made in Britain Campaign is a business and consumer campaign promoting British manufacturing in the UK and abroad. Trent Refractories are proud to be a member of the Made in Britain campaign to support the UK economy.
