Trent Refractories MD Katy Moss Becomes IRE President

Today was the Institute of Refractory Engineers conference which was all about the Petrochemical industry. Katy Moss took the reins of President for the next two years and gave Fellow Membership to Jan Theron the outgoing President.

Katy stated “Three things I want to be known for in my presidency. Sustainability, engagement and relevance. My aim is to ensure the IRE is here to support the technical refractory community for future generations, engage more with our members and provide them with relevant information to grow personally and professionally.” Taking the presidency marks 40 years since her late father was also Vice President, he was a keen supporter of the Institute.
