40 New Jobs Announced At British Steel's Scunthorpe Site

In a significant boost to the local economy in Scunthorpe during the current pandemic, major refractory product user British Steel, is looking to recruit Manufacturing Trainees at the steelworks plant. A spokesperson for British Steel said: "We’re currently recruiting up to 40 Manufacturing Trainees to work at our integrated steelworks site in Scunthorpe. The successful candidates will undertake a structured training programme, leading to a professional qualification and the chance to secure a permanent role with us."
They are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join their varied and diverse teams across the Scunthorpe site. For shift-based roles (including weekend working), you’ll need to be aged 18 years or over in order to satisfy the necessary legal requirements. You must have achieved either GCSE maths and English language to a minimum of grade C or Functional Skills level 2 in English and maths with a good all-round education. This is a fantastic programme for individuals who want to work within the steel industry gaining relevant training and experience to meet individual and business needs.
