Signing Of The UK Steel Charter Supporting British Steel
7
This week we were privileged to have attended the Greater Lincolnshire Mayor signing the UK Steel Charter at British Steel. Dame Andrea Jenkyns, the Mayor of Greater Lincolnshire, has announced plans to build a new town in the county. Her vision includes bringing thousands of new homes and necessary infrastructure to Lincolnshire.
Plans are still in the early stages, with discussions and surveys ongoing to ensure they align with local priorities and housing targets. This signing commits to using British Steel in the construction, fulfilling the government's commitment to the UK steel strategy. We attended to highlight the importance of the local supply chain and the value of providing high-quality technical services within our area which needs preserving and supporting. Amongst the attendees were Allan Bell (CEO British Steel), Lisa Coulson (British Steel) Chief Commercial Officer, Gareth Stace - Director General UK Steel, Dominic Oates President of the Institute of Refractories Engineers.
